1. Thinking back on our most recent chapters of Hatchet, specifically, Chptr. 7, when Brian encounters the bear, is there anything that you would have done differently if you had been Brian in that situation? Explain. Be specific.
2. Make a list of some of the events in Chptrs. 1-7 that have caused suspense in the novel?
1. If I was Brian in a situation with a bear I would have run my legs off because I don't want to die early. Or if the bear came at me i would have stood as still as a statue.

ReplyDeleteIn Brians situation in theplane crash I would have went down as soon as I found a BIG body of water, In Brians encounter with the bear I would have thrown some berries past him hoping the bear would turn around; then I would grab my hatchet and go slowly till out of site then start to run.

1. If I encountered a bear in the woods I would try to hide in a nearby bush or shrub, but if there are no bushes or shrubs I would take out my hatchet and try to scare the bear away.

1. If I were to encounter a bear such as Brian did, I would be scared out of my socks to the point where I would probably faint. If I did not faint,(or die from a panic attack) I would take my hatchet and run as fast as my legs would take me to my ''home.''

I like your number two answer a lot, but in number 1 why would you run off because then the bear would most likely think that you were food because you moved.
DeleteFor number 1 wouldn't the bear always be quicker than you, and if you scream out loud the bear will sense fear and eat you and it wouldnt do any good because there's no one to hear you scream either.
